This edition of the complete score is a reproduction of the authoritative Bach-Gesellschaft edition, in which the vocal parts of the 3d version of the oratorio were collated with the score of the 1st revision in an attempt to discover Bach's final intentions. Features instrumentation and a new English translation of text by Stanley Appelbaum.
