版权页:插图:Measurement systems have been a necessity since people first began to build and barter, and everyancient culture developed some sort of measurement system to serve its needs. Standardization ofunits took place gradually over the centuries, often through royal edicts. Development of the BritishImperial System from earlier measurement standards began in the 13th century and was well estab-lished by the 18th century. The British system spread to many parts of the world, including the UnitedStates, through commerce and colonization. In the United States the system gradually evolved into theU.S. Customary System (USCS) that is in common use today.The concept of the metric system originated in France about 300 years ago and was formalized inthe 1790s, at the time of the French Revolution. France mandated the use of the metric system in 1840,and since then many other countries have done the same. In 1866 the United States Congress legalizedthe metric system without making it compulsory.A new system of units was created when the metric system underwent a major revision in the1950s. Officially adopted in 1960 and named the International System of Units (Systeme Interna-tional d'Unites), this newer system is commonly referred to as SI. Although some SI units are thesame as in the old metric system, SI has many new features and simplifications. Thus, SI is animproved metric system.Length, time, mass, and force are the basic concepts of mechanics for which units of measurementare needed. However, only three of these quantities are independent since all four of them are relatedby Newton's second law of motion.

书的包装和印刷都挺好的,至于内容,我还没看完,不过是我们老师力荐的,应该会挺不错的


书的内容很经典,确实是本历经数代人心血的书,书的纸质一般

总体上不错,就是纸质不怎么太好,而且纸张好多有问题。。。


原版比中文版,说实话,在概念理解上要更加容易,解释得更加到位,中文翻译的有点望文生义


表示这本书非常不错,虽然全是英文不过会尽力去看完,送的非常及时


著名作者的材料力学教材。。外国学者的文笔和思路与国内砖家真是天壤之别。

纸张的质量一般。不过价格可以接受,一般英文版的书,都挺贵的。


字比较小,纸张有点薄,不过还不错,我在意的是内容。


不知道能不能退货 这本书 我是学建筑的 结果 这本书大部分是讲机械的 .....

这装订 的太不咋样了,和其他的英文教材根本不是一个档次,乃至我们大家一致认为是盗版,我…… 保持沉默


原版内容很好,但是纸张很薄,而且不是彩印(国外原版是彩印的)。


很经典的教程,内容丰富


有点厚 目前看起来还有点吃力


经典国外教材,铁木辛柯经典系列


书的纸张质量不好,太薄,申请补的发票,都一个多月了还没有寄送,商家的态度也太不负责任了


内容详细,易懂,对于自学者非常有帮助。例题和习题很实际,引起学习的兴趣,值得一看!


1、与美国的相比(同是第七版),居然少了几百页,谁能解释一下少了什么;2、弯矩图画在受压一侧,不太习惯;3、纸张太薄太薄,不过还算白。


着本书不错,就事论道!值得chewing.
