On the sea floor, ten meters below, lay the forms of twopeople, kickrng their legs and with their tanks caught in the tentacles of the tall seaweed thatgrew in the area They didn't carry a knife and were trapped. He knew they would run out of airif he didn't go to their rescue.Jeremy was only fourteen and had never scuba dived before. But he had seen the scuba gearused often and had practised in his mind how to use the equipment. He put on the lead weightbelt, checked his flippers, slipped on the spare air tank and checked the regulator and air level-it was full. He pulled on his face mask and tumbled over the edge of the boat. As he sank towardthe struggling pair, he reached for his knife to cut the seaweed.You can imagine Jeremy's reception when surfaced and boarded the dive boat.Jeremy is aninstant hero.
