《内蒙古统计年鉴（2012）》分为两部分。第一部分为特载，载入了自治区党政部门重要文件和2011年国民经济和社会发展统计公报。第二部分为统计资料，分为24个细目。即：1.行政区划禾口自然资源；2.综合；3.国民经济核算；4.人口；5.就业人员和职工工资；6.固定资产投资；7.能源生产和消费；8.财政；9.物价指数；10.人民生活；11.城市概况；12.农业；13.工业；14.建筑业；15.运输和邮电：16.国内贸易；17.对外经济贸易；18.旅游；19.金融和保险；20.教育、科技和文化；21.体育、卫生、社会福利、环境保护和其他；22.盟市资料；23.旗县区资料；24.附录。为了便于读者查阅，每个细目编排了主要统计指标解释。

版权页： 插图： 不断优化投资结构。加大工业和流通领域投资力度。继续承接先进产业转移，加强项目培育和储备，抓好冶金、化工、战略性新兴产业和装备制造业等方面的项目建设，争取中天合创300万吨二甲醚示范项目开工建设，新开工风电装机350万千瓦、太阳能发电30万千瓦，力争完成工业投资6000亿元左右。加快大型批发市场、物流仓储等项目建设，带动第三产业投资较快增长。加强综合交通网络建设。加快铁路建设步伐，开工建设重点铁路项目16个，新开工里程1440公里。推进呼和浩特至张家口快速客运专线建设，加快乌兰浩特至白城快速铁路和乌兰浩特至阿尔山铁路改造步伐，开展呼包鄂动车组前期工作和通辽至北京铁路局扩能改造工作，争取完成铁路投资330亿元。继续抓好出区高速公路通道建设，新开工高速公路里程260公里以上。加快旗县通一级公路建设步伐，科学规划并加快通嘎查村公路建设，全年新增700个通沥青水泥路嘎查村，加快干线路网、口岸公路改造，力争完成公路投资500亿元以上。抓好民航机场建设，优化机场布局，开工建设霍林郭勒机场和阿拉善通勤机场。加决能源输送通道建设。新开工500千伏线路4000公里以上，争取开工建设锡盟至南京特高压送电通道，推进蒙西至长沙特高压通道前期工作。完成长呼原油管道、呼包鄂成品油管道等重点工程建设任务。加强水利基础设施建设。积极推进文得根水库等一批重点水利枢纽工程建设，合理调整用水结构，着力解决工程性和资源性缺水问题。加强信息基础设施建设，实施“宽带内蒙古”工程，在有条件的地区开展“三网融合”试点。继续加大民生和社会建设领域投入，进一步完善社会保障体系，加快发展各项社会事业，力争完成全社会投资4000亿元。在项目争取和建设过程中，要严把土地、环保、安全、质量等准人关和审核关，全面加强监管和督查，完善工程检查、验收机制。 努力扩大居民消费需求。巩固扩展旅游、休闲、健身等消费，大力促进教育、文化消费。推进市场流通体系建设，优化城市商业网点布局，继续实施“万村千乡”市场工程，完善农村牧区商贸流通网络，积极稳妥地发展电子商务。进一步优化消费环境，全面落实促进消费的各项政策，继续推行家电、摩托车下乡和农机具购置补贴等政策。大力整顿和规范市场秩序，严厉打击侵犯知识产权和制售假冒伪劣商品行为，保护消费者合法权益。认真落实稳控物价各项政策措施，切实加强市场价格监管，坚决打击囤积居奇、哄抬物价等违法行为，保持物价基本稳定。 （二）加快经济结构优化升级，促进发展方式转变着力推动资源型产业转型升级。适度控制煤炭生产总规模，如期完成煤炭企业兼并重组任务，淘汰关闭年生产规模45万吨以下的矿井，探索建立产运销平衡调控机制。促进煤电一体化发展，争取启动锡林郭勒、上海庙等重大能源基地建设。提高煤炭资源深加工水平，深入实施新型煤化工五大国家示范工程。加强稀土钢、铝后加工、工程塑料和甲醇延伸加工，推进钢铁、有色、化工等优势产业延伸升级。加大技术改造力度，加快淘汰落后产能。进一步提高乳、肉、绒、粮油等农畜产品加工转化能力和精深加工水平，巩固和打造一批绿色知名品牌。
《内蒙古统计年鉴(2012)》是一部按年度连续出版的大型统计资料书。通过大量的统计数据，全面反映了2011年内蒙古社会、经济和科技发展变化情况，是国内外各界人士了解内蒙古、认识内蒙古的重要统计资料工具书。
