本书主要探讨了广州市中考英语口试对该市英语教师的教学信念及教学行为所产生的影响。本书以反拨效应理论和计划行为理论等为理论基础，运用案例分析的方法，选取了四位有代表性的初中英语教师，对其教学日记、课堂教学活动以及课后采访进行研究，详细分析了中考英语口试对英语教师的教学信念及教学行为所产生的影响在多大程度上达到了口试设计者的期望效果，为今后测试设计者的设计方向提供了有效的参考意见。
Huang Liyan is currently a post-doctoral research fellow at Sun Yat-sen University, China. Dr. Huang received her MSc in Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition from the University of Oxford, UK and her Doctorate from Lancaster University, UK. She has been an English teacher, test developer, ELT researcher and teacher educator for 20 years. Her research interests include applied linguistics, second language acquisition, language testing, teacher developmentand materials development. She has published widely in the fields of ELT and testing.
