This book follows the general plan and structure of Advanced English Teachers Book 1 by Mei Renyi and and Wang Lili. All the background material in section I, Additional Background Material for Teachers Reference, are excerpts or based on material from various encyclopedias and Whos Whos. The definitions of all the indivdual words in section Ⅱ, Detailed Study of the Test, are mostly taken from Websters New World Dictionary of the American Language. The explanations of synonyms in section Ⅲ,Key to Exercises, are taken from Websters New World Dictionary of the American Language and Readers Digest, Use the Right Word. Lesson 2, Marrakech, and lesson 8, The Worker as Crator or Machine, are based on the two lesson plans prepared by visiting Canadian professor Ruth Gamberg. The keys to all the translation exercises (from English to Chinese) in section Ⅲ, Key to Exercise, were prepared by Mei Renyi.
