我是从图书馆借到这本书的，看了几天很喜欢，就自己上来买了一本。基本上是简略概括了中国的历史文化，最特别的地方就是用英语将这些我们熟知的内容表达出来。在实际应用中，解决了常遇见的问题：不知道怎么用英语来表达中华民族特有的东东。很多翻译是看了才知道（比如八卦、卷轴、鼎、地动仪、军阀等等），原来是这样用英语的表达的啊～很有意思！喜欢的不得了！
在当当网上查询到的英文版有关中国文化的书，我几乎都买了。这本是最喜欢的一本。英译的中国文化术语比较地道。最得力的就是每章后面附录中的词汇表。语言比较适合英语程度较高的人士，但不晦涩，深入浅出，内容覆盖面也比较广。强烈推荐。

很不错。对中国文化阐述比较深刻、只是专业术语太多了点。适合英语高级学生阅读
