《亨利六世》是莎士比亚早期创作的英国历史剧,其上篇内容概括1422年到1444年亨利六世婴幼少年时期王亲国戚间的倾轧争斗,以及英国维护它在法国权益时的着着失利。其间英军将领塔尔博特的英勇战斗和牺牲的描写颇受英国观众的欢迎,因写作和上演时正值英国海军战胜西班牙无敌舰队,解除被入侵威胁之际,民间爱国主义热情高涨。
本书《亨利六世(上)》是莎士比亚注释丛书之一。
