前言

英语短语动词搭配灵活,含义丰富,应用广泛,正确掌握和使用英语短语动词是反映英语交际能力的重要方面。在长期的英语教学和科研实践过程中,我们发现许多英语学习者在记忆、辨析和使用英语短语动词方面存在困难和欠缺。为了帮助英语学习者克服这方面的困难,我们特地编写了这本词典。在编写中我们力图突出以下一些特点:一、内容丰富,收词广泛。本词典共收入英语短语动词约2400条,配有例句近6800句,词条和例句量在目前同类词典中尚不多见,可以满足各类英语学习者的不同需求。二、实用性强,适应面广。本词典所选用的动词短语都是在日常生活中出现频率较高,使用范围广泛的短语动词,读者可以在不同场合灵活运用。三、释义齐备,译文准确。本词典所选用的词条释义齐备,例句的语言规范,翻译正确恰当。同时我们还注意选编了一定数量的含义新颖、与当前经济和文化发展关系密切的例句,以适应社会发展和读者的需要。四、编排合理,记忆方便。本词典在一些常用释义的例句后面还编排了相应的同义、反义的短语动词和常用动词,同时针对一些短语动词的特殊用法和结构作了简明扼要的文字说明,方便读者举一反三,联想记忆。

内容概要

本书收入日常生活中出现频率较高、使用范围广泛的英语短语动词约2400条,给出完备、准确的释义,并配以语言规范、翻译精准的例句近6800条,其中还包括一些含义新颖、与当前经济和文化发展关系密切的例句。在一些常用释义的例句后面还列举了相应的同义、反义的短语动词,对一些特殊用法和结构作了简要注解。《新编英语短语动词用法词典》为英语短语动词的记忆、辨析和使用提供了方便、实用的手段和工具,可以满足各类英语学习者的不同需求。 本词典作为项目成果之一,受到上海市教委第五期重点学科“外国语言学及应用语言学”项目资助,项目编号为A—3102—06—000。
