Columbia City was not so very far away, even once shewas in Chicago. What, pray, is a few hours-a few hundred miles？ Shelooked at the little slip bearing her sisters address and wondered. She gazedat the green landscape, now passing in swift review, until her swifter thoughtsreplaced its impression with vague conjectures of what Chicago might be. When a girl leaves her home at eighteen, she does one of two things. Eithershe falls into saving hands and becomes better, or she rapidly assumes thecosmopolitan standard of virtue and becomes worse. Of an intermediatebalance, under the circumstances, there is no possibility. The city has itscunning wiles, no less than the infinitely smaller and more human tempter.There are large forces which allure with all the soulfulness of expressionpossible in the most cultured human.

刚开始看了个头，我是为了提高英语水平才买的，粗略地看了一下，还行，以我的英语水平还能看懂，期待把故事完整地读完
帮朋友买来写论文用的，价格虽然便宜，但是个很好的故事，
不小心买成了全英文版的。下次注意了
世界图书的性价比这么高，所以它的这个排版和注释就稍微差点。总体来书很好。

全英文版，估计可能是原版吧，词汇量很大，看起来有些吃力，都还没有看完，但是很好看，纸质很一般，封面包装都很一般，但是挺实惠的，如果是原版图书就更好了
封面很脏，还有人被长时间磨破过的痕迹，书也泛黄，且封面没有包装，其他书都有。很失望
英文版的，看不懂，要谨慎
只能说一分钱一分货，一本书里面的两页居然是烂着的。书是开封的，卖家发货的时候难道就不检查一下吗?!!!
