先进制造技术（Advanced Manufacturing Technology）是国际上20世纪80年代末提出的一门综合性、交叉性前沿学科。本书介绍了先进制造技术的基本内容，其中包括：计算机辅助设计、制造、检验、成本估算，并行工程，快速原型制造，数字化制造，数控、机器人，机械量测量和现代制造技术，如：涂层刀具、调整切削、硬态切削、干式切削、缓进给磨削、微细加工、纳米技术等。 本书采用英文编写。在文字上力求规范，通俗易懂，繁简得当，以满足双语教学的要求。本书可以作为机械设计制造及自动化、机械电子工程、航空宇航制造工程、工业工程等专业高年级本科生和硕士研究生的教学参考书，亦可作为专业英语教材。
