《文化艺术品的可译性：在国外建造中国园林的困难和挑战》通过中国园林这个例子，向读者展示各种文化的独特之处。期望各文化之间能互相理解，加强交流。中国园林是中国文化的缩影和精华。除了园林中随处可见的诗词歌赋在翻译过程中存在的不可译因素之外，园林作为一个建筑整体在海外建造中也不能保持纯正的原汁原味。
