解放军外国语学院英语专业建立于1949年，学科体系健全，是全国和全军的重点学科。拥有博士后科研流动站和博士学位授权点；师资力量雄厚，目前有近30名教师具有博士学位；教学质量上乘，在全国英语统测中成绩一直名列前茅；科研学术活跃，学风严谨，成果丰硕。 本书讨论的主要包括三个：特征选择（即哪些特征在构词时被组合到某个特定的词语）、成分之间的融合度、中心词选择（即哪个成分被选择为中心词）。 本文库是部分博士在国内各名牌院校知名学者教授指导下精心撰写的学术著作，计划每年出版5本，敬请关注。
程工，1963年生，安徽六安人，1981年考入解放军外国语学院，学习英语专业，1985年获学士学位，1998年获硕士学位。1992年考入上海复旦大学外文系，师从徐烈炯教授攻读现代语法理论专业博士学位，1995年获博士学位。现任解放军外国语学院英语教授、博士生导师、科研部部长。主
