國立故宮博物院於九十五年十二月至九十六年三月以「大觀」為題，推出「北宋書畫」、「汝窯」、「宋版圖書」特展，並於九十六年二月五日至八日舉辦「開創典範—北宋的藝術與文化」研討會，於北宋藝術與文化提供許多創新視野，具有卓越學術價值。特彙集所發表論文三十一篇，編輯出版，以見證研討會的學術成果。
